Qualifications
Associate Professor (Practice) Dr Rajesh Singh graduated from the University of New South Wales (Australia) in 1998 with a combined degree in science and medicine with honors. He subsequently did a research fellowship in Australia and basic surgical training in New Zealand.
He holds the Master of Orthopedic Surgery from the University of Malaya (2007). His was the only Distinction award given in the history of the qualification.
He subsequently completed his Australian Orthopedic Association accredited subspecialty fellowship at the Flinders Medical Centre. He has additional qualifications in medical education, surgical anatomy and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
He is currently seconded to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia where he has certification and credentialling on the National Specialist Register as an Orthopedic Surgeon.
He is undertaking the development of a multidisciplinary comprehensive curriculum for Musculoskeletal disease diagnosis and management along the concepts of Precision Medicine with correlation to findings in surgery.
This is using Musculoskeletal Ultrasound for diagnosis, prognosis and minimally invasive procedures. The developed curriculum and technology will be transferred in stages to the NSMG with the vision of establishing a holistic multidisciplinary Musculoskeletal care service.
The aim is to improve safety, patient centered outcomes and cost effectiveness.
He regularly appears on BFM radio explaining common orthopedic conditions.
